Fishy Fingers

This was my entrant for this years 'Blister's on my Fingers' Blackout themed poster competition. The poster design had to work as a glow in the dark poster aswell as in the daylight. They didn't pick it so I'm off to tie a large weight around my leg, climb into a rubble sack and roll into the canal and join the fishes until they change their minds.

Am I Art?

This is a doodle of Damien Hirst I developed into a poster idea after reading the comments on this years Turner Prize on the endless debate, Is that Art? So I added some 'is that art' rants.

start of a dream

This was the start of an early morning dream that never was, due to the early awakening of my youngest. Not sure if I got the character right, but who will ever know.
Reminds me of the "Magic Roundabout" somehow.

Monsters Peephole at Anti Design Festival

Had you visited the Anti Design Festival last week curated by Neville Brody as part of the London Design Week you may have seen our Monsters 'Peepholes'...If not here a few pictures of the making of the 'Peephole' and other pieces from the festival. Pete's Peculiar Pet Shop

Here's a couple of pics from a four book series for Pearson Education entitled 'Pete's Peculiar Pet Shop' written by Sheila Bird and illustrated by myself. I finished these earlier in the year and they are now hitting the shops. The series is about the vertically challenged Pete, his assistant Molly and the highs and lows of running a pet shop full of 'peculiar' pets in a town of Witches, Wizards, Royalty and Flea ridden dogs.

Unused Artwork

Here is a piece I illustrated for a Classic FM album cover of celebrities reading fairytales. It's not being used now unfortunately due to a 're-think' (I'll get over it one day) so I thought I'd show it somewhere, £1 to the first person who gets ALL the celebrities in the illustration, there is 11 of them in total, answers on a postcard or in the comments below.

Monsters Bog Blog

Not the usual toilet graffiti...
These are a couple of sneak photos of the work in progress of our artwork for Research Studios toilet http://www.researchstudios.com/. We were commissioned by them to 'liven' up the boring magnolia walls with a spot of monsters illustration. Armed with our pens, ink, paint and vinyl cut outs we squeezed the six of us into a rather small toilet for the day. More to come soon, so watch this Bog, I mean Blog...

Straight from the sketchbook

I had the fortune to spend my Christmas last year in Italy. In between stuffing my face with turkey and pasta I did pick up my sketchbook once or twice and these were a few of the locals I sketched going about their daily business.
