Whilst everyone else in the country was enjoying themselves, or doing DIY,
I was working hard on Sunday, this is the fruit of my labours,
(for non football followers, Arsenal's badge is a cannon, they are commonly known as the Gunners)

The Modern Peasant

The Modern Peasant was published this summer by Chatto & Windus, a lovely book on bringing the pleasures of a country kitchen into city life. My illustrations run throughout the book. Here is the cover and some sample chapter headings.

mindful magazine

I have some illustrations in the current issue of mindful magazine, in the US. I drew line illustrations, and hand-lettered text, over photographs, to convey everyday sounds and noises all around us...

This is a picture of my brain (actual size)
I used it in an article about the urban myth, that we only use 10% of our brains
Scans of the brain show that, in fact, there
are no parts of the brain that are inactive or unused
and detailed probing of the brain has failed to
identify the ‘non-functioning’ 90%

Swimming Logo

My daughter's swim team is called Walthamstow Tritons
We have had a redesign, to make the kids swim faster
For those of you that think a Triton is an electric shower

Triton (mythology)

Triton (Greek: Τρίτων, gen: Τρίτωνος) is a mythological Greek god, the messenger of the sea. He is the son of Poseidon and
Amphitrite, god and goddess of the sea respectively, and is herald for his father. He is usually represented as a merman, having
the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish, "sea-hued", according to Ovid[1] "his shoulders barnacled with sea-shells".

Like his father, Poseidon, he carried a trident. However, Triton's special attribute was a twisted conch shell, on which he blew
like a trumpet to calm or raise the waves. Its sound was such a cacophony, that when loudly blown, it put the giants to flight,
who imagined it to be the roar of a dark wild beast
