Bling

Rich people in Hong Kong and China are ditching their Burberry checks and chunky designer watches
Sartorially, they are becoming more refined and less ostentatious
This was for the nice people at Haymarket Asia

Hothead

Did your mum used to tell you that we lose up to 50 per cent of heat through our heads?
It was just to frighten you into wearing that bobble hat that she knitted you for Christmas
Here is a picture I did for Readers Digest to expose this wicked lie

Spear's Magazine. Trusted Advisers

The nice people at Spear's Magazine commissioned this Illo' for a piece on "how private client professionals – including lawyers, accountants and private bankers –are increasingly serving as ‘trusted advisers’ for their clients, giving advice that it’s not strictly limited to their area of expertise and ending up becoming a friend".

Cheers
Cam.

Vanity Fair, November Issue

I must be popular with Vanity or the blackmail is working, but they commissioned me again for Novembers On Travel Section. They were reviewing three hotels located in Vienna, Istanbul and Milan in a piece called "The Tale or Three Cities" and wanted to give it a twist with some Illustrations instead of the more usual photos.

Cheers

Cam.

Vanity Fair, On Time

They lovely people at Vanity Fair commissioned me do come up with some pics to stretch over the top of 5 pages in Vanity's "On Time". The piece was on the Dangers, trials and adventures undertaken by some of the greats of watchmaking. Really nice job to do.

Cheers

Whine

I have been doing a regular wine column for the Guardian over the summer.
This article suggested wines to drink whilst everyone else was on holiday, and you were stuck in the office or at home.
I have just updated the Monster website with some new images

Summer Holidays??

It has been a busy summer at Humphries HQ
I have been doing  a lot of short deadline op-ed and letters pages for the Guardian and the South China Morning Post(SCMP) amongst other things.
The SCMP is based in Hong Kong. It involved setting my alarm clock at 4am and finishing work at 10am.
I was jet lagged without leaving the country!

The first image was for SCMP.
A publication called "House News"  Hong Kong’s largest online  news platform, with over 300,000 unique readers a day was shut down as a result of mainland Chinese surveillance, intimidation and pressure.

The second image was for the Guardian letters page.
I had 2 hours to complete an illustration about the  US air strikes on Iraq
Many readers were concerned about the innocent men, women, children and other vulnerable people that the US-led wars are supposed to save.

BBC History Magazine

This illustration will be featured in the June issue of the BBC History Magazine. It accompanies an article about five monks from Canterbury Cathedral who in 1178 reported to have seen an explosion on the moon. I wanted the style to mirror medieval manuscripts. Hope you like it.

Hello,
This is a cover illustration for an Employee Benefits Magazine supplement, used again inside to illustrate the piece Convincing Performance, "Finance directors need to be shown the true value of investing in health and wellbeing benefits".

Hello all. This pic' was for the Guardian Sports page (piece by the very talented Barney Ronay) a couple of weeks ago. He was writing about the Indian Premier League "cricket's whizziest, gaudiest pop-up western town of a sporting sideshow". Hope you like it.
